Country Sounds Report - August 2016
Welcome to another night of live entertainment provided by country sounds CMC, tonight we have the one the only Dave Whitmore to entertain us all for the evening! Unforently we are running a bit late due to the fact Dave has turned up late because of really bad traffic, but In the mean time we have our club DJ Malcolm playing some lovely country tunes to keep us all on our feet!
Now that we are back on track we can get along with the live entertainment from Dave Whitmore, he started he’s first set with songs such as is it Friday yet followed by love you too much and songs such as setting the woods on fire, half past nothing, eyes wide open, blue night cha, burning love and many more. Unforently we have some sad news to announce! This is going to be the last night of Country Sounds CMC we have been running a long time as you all know, and we have had a lot of family problems with operations and Sam’s little baby on the way we are very sure that we will see you all around at other clubs or festivals! It’s not the end of us!
Just to brighten your night back up we have our club DJ Malcolm playing a selection of his country music favourites keeping everyone entertained and on that dance floor! You do such a great job! And we all here at Country Sounds CMC thank you for all your hard work with us throughout the years and wish you very best in the future
Back to the live entertainment, Dave started this set with tonight the bottle let me down followed by new shade of blue and next up was a slow song for all the lovers in the room which was the answer (also one of petes favourite songs!), last ever cowboy, take it easy, and many more he then ended this set with easy come easy go.
It’s now time for the final raffle of Country Sounds CMC there’s so much to choose from alcohol chocolate and so much more, and just because were nice we are doing a second raffle for you all tonight, so that’s a second chance to win some prizes guys!
Back on to the final set with Dave Whitmore, he started this set with tempted, love trip, gypsie queen, this could be, next up was lay low, we love to boogie, best part of the day is the night, I will love you all my life which was dedicated to wend and Pete, did you ever know that your my hero, rock and roll is roll
Country Sounds Report - July 2016
Welcome back to yet another month of live entertainment provided by Country Sounds C.M.C tonight we have the one and only husband and wife duo Jonny and Lynnette, we had these last year and provided such an enjoyable night we just had to have them back at the club!
Tonight Jonny and Lynnette started their first set with tier by the tail, heartaches by the number, love me just a bit longer, send a message to my heart, love bug, followed by Merle Haggards the running kind, Tennessee waltz, lonesome 77203, somewhere between, forgot to remember, sound of loneliness, they then finished this set with the classic streets of Bakersfield.
This month we done a little surprise for my little brother and his fiancé as they are expecting a baby me and all involved at Country Sounds C.M.C. Decided to all donate and give money for presents from us all which were a baby bangle and clothes and many more, which was very emotional for them both... We do like a good ole surprise! We would like to thank everyone for chipping in it was much appreciated!
Now it’s time for the first raffle where our club DJ Malcolm plays his selection of country music favourites keeping dancers and listeners happy playing different types of country from new to old!
It’s now time to welcome back the live act for their second set, they started this set with Mr man in the moon, followed by billy be bad and Kentucky girl, next up was a Ricky Skaggs song called I wouldn’t change you if I could, followed by ashes of love, Folsom prison, mercury blues, and many more..
It’s now time for the final break of the evening this is also where we call the winners of the raffle to the centre of the stage to claim the prizes and also the football card winners, such a great raffle to choose from tonight from items such as vodka, disaronio, wine, chocolate (oh man I love the chocolate!!), and many more, yet again I would like to thank everyone who had donated it does not go without notice!
We hope you are all enjoying the night so far with what we have provided just for you all! It’s so great to go round to tables and see great big smile on people’s faces! It means that we all here at country sounds have done our jobs right!
It’s now time for the final set of the evening, they started this set with stop the world and let me off, followed by run back to me, 18 yellow roses, next up was a special request which was for jennet which was somewhere tonight which Lynnette sang beautifully, silver threads and golden needles, some broken hearts never mend, who did you call darling last night, home to Louisiana, aint got no matches, and many more..

Country Sounds Report - June 2015
Welcome to another month of live entertainment provided by Country Sounds CMC, we apologise for not having a club last month but we all needed a break, BUT were back and that’s all that matters! .. Tonight we provided entertainment from the wonderful duo called SPEED LIMIT
SPEED LIMIT started their first set with I just want my baby back followed by you lied to me next up was a track called neon moon, blue blue night, storms never last, followed by the classic blue rose is which just so happened to get everyone back on that dancefloor, don’t call me, this and that, mercury blues, and many more such as a merle haggard track which was their last song of this set which was farmers daughter
It’s now time for the first interval where our club DJ Malcolm plays his selection of country music favourites keeping both listeners and dancers happy, he does such a great job of it and we just can’t fault him! We would also like to thank you all for coming out tonight it’s great to see you all after a month off and we hope you are all enjoying your evening so far! There’s plenty more to come!!
It’s now time for the second set of the evening!, SPEED LIMIT started this set with in a letter to you next up was a Colin Raye track which was sweet memory, next up was the mavericks back in your arms again, dreaming my dreams with you, there goes my heart, knee deep, people are crazy, Angie then went on to sing one of my all-time favourite songs which just so happened to be angel of no mercy which was beautifully sang! Followed by I’m still in love, and many more.
It’s now time for the raffle, and football raffle let’s all hope we win some prizes, so many great prizes to choose from tonight from such as chocolate, wine, glasses and many many more. We thank you all for the great donations we really do appreciate all your help! It never goes without notice! I would personally like to take this time to thank you all for coming tonight to see us all, there is a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes of Country sounds, within booking artiste and setting up the hall for you all, we are very happy that yet again for another month it has paid off!
It’s now time to welcome SPEED LIMIT back on for their final set of the evening tougher than the rest, speak to the sky, messed up in Memphis, laid back in low key, is it Friday yet?, fooling round with me, just to see you smile, easy come easy go, no more you, mr man in the moon, talkies cheap, and many more..
They ended their set with two more songs which was muddy water and voices of the highland.

Country Sounds Report - April 2016
Welcome to yet another month of live entertainment provided by Country sounds CMC, we welcome you to celebrate the clubs 6th anniversary with us and for tonight’s entertainment we have the fabulous Glenn Rogers accompanied by the lovely Nikki ( well I say lovely! she’s really a bully, well to me anyway!) ..
It’s great to see so many of you here to celebrate with us all, we would like to take this time to welcome Mr. Glenn Rogers back to the club after a great previous show with us, Glenn started he’s first set with If I ever stop loving you followed by a classic which was rolling with the flow next up was songs such as laid back in low key, followed by that’s good, land of enchantment, Kelly’s cannibals, knee deep, messed up in Memphis, goodbye my old friend followed by a really old song that still gets all the dancers up on that floor which was the classic copper head road ( still an amusing dance to watch!), Smokey places and finished with the classic fast as you. What a great first set from Glenn!
Its now time for the first break where we have our very own James to replace Malcolm as he couldn’t be here tonight, and what a great job James did of keeping everyone up on their feet still! Very well done James, in this break we also did a surprise auction which had Jim bean, Captain Morgan and a bottle of Champagne and the very lucky winner was one our very own helpers the youngest of the group which was Joe ( we know you have a good night!)
It’s now time to welcome Glenn Rogers back to the stage for the second set of the evening, he started this second set with memories are made of this!, followed by another classic which was stop the world and let me off!, followed by as what Glenn would call a bug grabber which was don’t close your eyes, my first taste of Texas, right over nutmeg, I just want my baby back, next up was the catchy love bug followed by disappearing taillights, and many more
It’s now time for the raffle, so many choices of prizes tonight from sweets, household stuff and lots of alcohol!!, well done to everyone that had won and better luck to the people that hadn’t won this month, I would personally like to take this time to thank each and every single one of you for coming out and supporting us each and every month when you could easily choose to be somewhere else! It means a lot to all of us here at country sounds, without you there’s no us we just couldn’t do it without you!

Country Sounds Report - March 2016
Welcome to yet another month of live entertainment provided by country sounds CMC, tonight the live entertainment is provided by Mickey Page and Charlie (father and daughter) which make the duo BAREFOOT AND CRAZY. Mickey and Charlie where here middle of last year and provided such a great evening! We just had to have them return to the club.
Barefoot and crazy started their first set with I’m from the country, next up was a Dixie chicks track which was heartaches by the number, he drinks tequila and she talks dirty in Spanish followed by came out like a rose and some beach followed by same thing happened to me, silver lining, next up was a Marty Roberts track which was roll on cowboy ( I think), next up was a fantastic version of till each tear you cry becomes a rose (which just so happens to be one of my favourite songs to listen to!) and many more.
We would like to take this time to thank all of you who had come along to support us on a dark and horrible night (weather wise!) but you can always count on the country sounds organisers to brighten up your evening with many laughs! And we hope you are all enjoying your evening so far! A great big thank you to you all just remember without each and every one of you there would be no clubs like these to go to so you should all give yourselves a pat on the back! .. The next song up was Toby Keith’s you can’t read my mind, give me weed instead of roses which was a fantastic version sang by Charlie (Barefoot!), they then finished the set with a bluegrass track which was known as fox on the run.
It’s now come to the time where we have our first break where our club DJ Malcolm plays his selection of country music favourites keeping both dancers and listeners happy, this is also where the club organisers go round getting to know there crowd and sailing raffle tickets and also the football raffle where there is a chance to win a whole £10 yes £10 so much you can do with that money that’s basically a free night out!!
It’s now come to the second set so I will announce you back to Barefoot and Crazy they started this set of with a Johnny Cash song wish was the popular Jackson, baby I’m right, followed by Pete’s favourite song which just so happens to be a brooks and Dunn track which was Neon moon and then a song sang by Charlie solo which was a very emotional song for so many reasons which was called keep me out of heaven tonight, followed by Mr man in the moon, something in the water, it must be love, your good girls going to go bad, loving all night, next up was yet another solo performance from Charlie and I mean what a voice! The song she chose to sing was the more modern track of I hate stripes.
It’s now time for the raffle; this is your chance to win some amazing prizes! And what a day to choose from after all it is Easter! So there’s going to be lots of chocolate! And we all like a bit of chocolate! This is also the chance for everyone to find out what artiste are playing around the scene for next month which includes clubs such as Manston, Best of British, Golden Eagle, Ace of Diamonds and so many more and also the one and only COUNTRY SOUNDS CMC! .. This is also where yet again DJ Malcolm plays a selection of country music to keep everyone going!

It’s now sadly come to the time where we have to say our thankyous and goodnights! We thank you all for coming out with us for this enjoyable night and don’t forget next month is our anniversary so it’s not to be missed so many celebrations to be celebrated so we hope we see you there for Glenn Rogers, see you next month and good night to you all!
Country Sounds Report - February 2016
Welcome to yet another night of live country music provided by Country Sounds CMC, tonight we have Rick and Ash Storm to entertain you all, this is a father and son duo and together they make the ever so popular THE STORMS.
The storms have never been to Country Sounds CMC and we have been chasing them for a while and we now finally have them and are very excited to have them here with us! THE STORMS started their first set with songs such as same thing happened to me, little lady bug, silver wings, here comes my baby, the real deal (this is a new one to me) followed by Johnny cash popular song which was I walk the line, talk is cheap, next up was places, welcome to my world, followed by the great Keith Whitley’s don’t close your eyes which was sang beautifully! They then finished their first set with an evenly brothers tribute!
It’s now that time of night where our club DJ plays he’s selection of country music favourites from old to new keeping listeners and dancers happy, this is also the part of the night where Wend comes round with the football cards where you have your chance to win a whole £'10!! Yes that right that’s basically a free night out if you think about it!!!
Now back on to the live entertainment provided by The Storms they started their second set with to make you feel my love ,one way ticket which was yet another new one for me but yet very catchy! It kept everyone on the dance floor, followed by seven Spanish angels, lay low, today I started I loving you again, where corn don’t grow, that’s how I got to Memphis ,and then finished with high class lady.
It’s now time for the raffle we have so many prizes to choose from tonight from chocolates to wine and so many more, I would personally like to take this time to thank you all for coming out tonight to support us on this very evening and we hope you are all enjoying your night! It’s so great to see so many of you on floor smiling and keeping on the dance floor. It’s great to see Ash and Rick after so long! All of us here at country sounds CMC love Rick he was one of the very first artiste I ever remember going to watch all them many years ago! And is still as good as he was back then! They always cause such a great atmosphere! It is also great to see an act that hasn’t been to the club before go round and introduce himself to everyone ask how they are and if they have any request!
We rarely see this anymore!
It’s now back to the live entertainment and unforently the last set of the evening so we would like to proudly ask The Storms back on stage to perform this for you all, Rick And Ash started this set with stars over Texas, my side of paradise (at least I think that’s what he said!) followed by somebody like you, ghost riders in the sky! Which everyone loved! The floor was packed!!, next up was an oldie but a goodie which was king of the road, they then carried on with a triple mix which consisted with from a jack to a king/ take these chains/ singing the blues, rock and roll is king, some must feel like a fool tonight, billy be bad and many more.
We would like to thank you all for coming out tonight and hope to see you next month for Mickey Page and Charlie!
